We’ve all forgotten a password once or twice, especially if it’s one that requires six characters, four of them capitals, three lowercase, 3 numbers and a special character that isn’t !,?, or anything that can be found on a key that also houses a number.
You are smart and capable when it comes to figuring out what you may or may not have thought you’d remember for this specific password. But maybe you are faced with a lock-out, what then?
Cry
It doesn’t help but maybe it makes you feel just a tad bit better. That feeling will only last until you try to sign-on again but whatever, take what you can get.
Call for help
You may have to wait on hold for 23 minutes and 48 seconds only to be told to hit the forgot password? button, again, then being hung-up on before you can proest.
Keep calling.
Maybe send an email requesting assistance so that you can get a response about how you can only be helped with this matter via phone, and call at your earliest convenience.
You will get to talk to someone who isn’t a complete nincompoop, eventually.

When all else fails, start from scratch. You’ll loose all of your history, preferences, and settings but at least now you’ll remember your password.
Probably.
